A Perfect Stay. Wish I was allowed to give this wonderful hideaway more stars. Everything about it was perfect...convenient location, beautifully designed, impeccably furnished and clean. An Extra Hour of Sunshine is the best vacation rental experience we have ever had. It is designed and decorated beautifully to make the most of the view from every room. This was our second stay here, so we know what we are talking about!
The backyard is exceptional. Everything you need for the perfect experience. It is very private, the pool is heated to the perfect temperature, a hot tub, an outdoor shower, and lots of places to relax, read a book or visit with friends. Most of our time at the house was spent in the back yard. The kitchen has great appliances, great pots and pans, and sharp knives! All areas of the house are extraordinary, and the work area is no exception. I worked the entire time we were there, and it was by far, the best work-from-home set up I have ever used, including my own home. There is no need to ever leave the house and backyard, but if you find the need, the area is safe and walkable. Neighbors are friendly and restaurants, stores and hiking trails are all a short walk from the house.
Part of our incredible experience is due to the property concierge, Fred. Fred is a gem. He communicates when needed but is not intrusive at all. He arrived at the house within minutes when we locked ourselves out of the house and got us back in quickly. I also want to make certain I mention how great of hosts Trey and Chad are - excellent communication from the time we booked through our arrival back home. Their hospitality is bar none. We arrived at the house to find a generous welcome gift and halfway through our visit we received a package of delicious cookies. Such unexpected gestures that really mean a lot.
We hope to return for a third visit to An Extra Hour of Sunshine!

We have been traveling the country for the past 10 months. We stayed at "An Extra Hour of Sunshine" for a month. This is by far one of the best experiences we had. I would call it "Extra Month of Effort". First, Chad and Trey were exceptional hosts. Their communication before, during and after our stay was top notch. They had several nice welcome gifts, which were unexpected. In addition, they have a property manager, Fred, who instantly responded. During our stay, if we had an issue it was addressed. I told Trey that we were considering moving to Rancho Mirage. Trey spent time with us discussing their decision to buy in Rancho Mirage vs Palm Springs on a long phone call and a 90 minute Zoom. He was awesome. He spent his time giving us input and guidance. Such an amazing man. He genuinely wanted to help.
The home itself was perfect. High-end finishes, appliances, cutting-edge bathrooms, backyard & pool. Everything was designed well and the construction was high quality. The furniture was nice and in great condition. The bed was really comfortable. They had every kitchen appliance and utensil that you could need. They provided toiletries and fluffy towels. The house was extremely well maintained and clean.
"An Extra Hour of Sunshine" is first class. We loved it. The best location that we have stayed over the past 10 months. And the best , most caring hosts that we have encountered. Our stay could not have been better. I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality experience. We will likely be back.

We had an amazing time at An Extra Hour of Sunshine. The communication with Trey and Chad was superior from the time we reserved the house through the end of our stay. It is truly a luxury to have a local concierge - Fred had everything set up upon arrival, checked on us during our stay (without being intrusive) and made certain we knew how to get a hold of him, if we needed anything. The house and pool area was exactly as promised, and expected from the photos. It has been beautifully designed with great attention to detail down to the backdrops of the two office spaces...simply stunning. The neighborhood is walkable and close to many trails, restaurants, coffee shops and more. It's close to everything yet extraordinarily quiet - we never heard traffic noise whether in the house or in the backyard. Most of our time was spent in the back yard. A truly private oasis with space to relax, swim or have a meal with a view...and we did it all. We look forward to returning next year for another amazing experience at AEHoS

This is our third stay in the Magnesia Falls neighborhood and it was better than we could have hoped for. The house is absolutely pristine (inside and out) and the owners clearly understand how to ensure your experience will be fantastic and stress free. We spent 90% of our waking hours in the beautiful backyard...enjoying the pool, hot tub, multiple lounging/sunning areas...totally private. The location is excellent, no street noise and the perfect balance of sun and shade, nice public tennis/pickle ball courts within a mile, an easy walk to Starbucks and restaurants, and close to great hiking trails. Not inexpensive...but a great example of 'you get what you pay for' in terms of overall quality and owner attentiveness. We will absolutely be booking again in the future.

Trey and Chad are by far the most exceptional hosts that I've ever encountered on any of the vacation rental sites. Their attention to the details of what makes a great stay is beyond anything that I've experienced. The house is exactly as represented, if not better. It is spotless and is perfectly set up both for a full on vacation or for a combination of remote work and relaxation. The fixtures, furnishing, linens and beds are top notch; and the house is equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. The location is awesome, particularly the proximity to El Paseo, which is only about a mile or so away. Beyond being attentive, Trey and Chad are very gracious hosts. They left welcoming gifts for all of us, including a really beautiful monogrammed bowl for our dog Enzo, who they joyfully welcomed.
Their communication with us before and during our stay was excellent, always upbeat, and very helpful. Vidal, the house manager deserves a special shout out for being always available and also super helpful.
I know that it's cliche; but, if I could give An Extra Hour of Sunshine more than 5 stars, I would. As a side note, it took me a while, but I think I figured out why they call the house An Extra Hour of Sunshine. The back yard and pool are oriented such that they get sun all day long, until the very last rays fade behind the mountains. As you linger out back with a beverage of your choice, and watch those last rays linger over the deck and pool, it literally feels like you've been gifted an extra hour of sunshine. And, if this is not actually the origin of the house name, then it still makes for a story and a great stay.

We spent the past two months in this wonderful home with our dog and we could not have been happier. The house has been redone beautifully and both inside and outside living spaces are exceptional. The kitchen is very well equipped with brand new appliances and the bathrooms are all tastefully appointed. The outdoor pool area, bbq station and landscaping are all beautifully done and we had our own mini orchard with lemon and grapefruit trees. The owners were the most attentive and accommodating hosts we have ever experienced and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We loved our time there and we thank Trey and Chad for everything!

An Extra Hour of Sunshine was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The home has everything you could possibly need for your stay. We enjoyed the outdoor patio with misters and laying by the pool with comfy lounge chairs and pool floats. The kitchen has every appliance and gadget possible. The hosts communication was above and beyond and were always available if we had questions. The home is centrally located in the valley so getting to Palm Springs or La Quinta is very easy. If you are looking for a place for a month stay that is comfortable and very chic this is the place!

An Extra Hour of Sunshine = Extra Hours of Happiness = A PERFECT STAY!!!
From the moment we booked, Chad, Trey and team were extremely communicative and a joy to correspond with. We were completely assured that we would have a fantastic stay…and boy was that an understatement! Upon arrival we were transported into a mid-century luxe retreat. The home was meticulously decorated in period theme and was equipped with everything one could need for a month-long stay. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool and the water feature. The misters were a welcomed treat on hot afternoons and during al fresco meals. The property is very private, beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. The consistent pool, landscape and trash services kept everything looking fresh and operating smoothly and was appreciated by all. We couldn’t have asked for a better location.
The home is conveniently located close to restaurants and grocery stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Total Wine and more. There are also fitness studios, spas, golf courses and hiking trails close by. In addition, the prestigious El Paseo has great dining and shopping options. We enjoyed our morning walks around the neighborhood looking and the various architecture styles and the nearby foothills.
Though we didn’t require much assistance, the property manager and owners were always available for anything we needed and extremely responsive. We enjoyed every extra hour of sunshine and created life-long memories. We can’t recommend this home enough and can’t wait to come and visit again. If you are considering booking this home, don’t hesitate and just do it. You won’t regret it!

My husband, myself and our dog stayed for a month in May-June. We were delighted with this house. Not only is it a photogenic house, it’s also a good quality house - which is super important for longer stays. It was recently renovated and you can tell a lot of thought went into it. Also has a very well-stocked kitchen (even has a mix master for last minute baking), fully Alexa enabled lighting and pool controls, high-functioning and quiet air con and appliances, comfortable furniture and beds. Other stand out features were the master bedroom suite (with a lounge area and two eames chairs for evening wind down), the misters and the awesome grill station in the yard, and the wallpaper in the dining room (which earned me a lot of compliments as a Zoom background when I was working remote).
LOCATION - we normally stay in Palm Springs but wanted to try out a new area and we are converted - the Rancho Mirage location is amazing - <20 mins drive to almost any golf course or restaurant from La Quinta to Palm Springs, and many great spots only 3-10 mins drive. House is also really quiet on a culdesac and our normally reactive dog was so relaxed he was sleeping upside down within two days. The most noise we ever heard from neighbors was kids splashing in a pool a couple of times.
HOSTS - hosts were super communicative and it was clear they really wanted us to have a great stay. We ran into a few minor maintenance issues (normal wear and tear stuff for longer stays in my experience) and they were extremely responsive and fast about getting someone over to address. Overall a great house and we’d definitely stay again.

We stayed in this fabulous property and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The views, location, decor and spa-like backyard combined make this our favorite Palm Springs home we have ever experienced. We have absolutely found our ongoing Palm Springs rental. Can't wait to come back!
